The Star Spangled Banner

Today we learned a little bit of United States history through music class.  On this day in 1814 an American flag was flown to celebrate victory over the British during the War of 1812.  The flying of the flag inspired Frances Scott King to write The Star Spangled Banner.

Everyone at Washington Township stood around the flag pole in front of our school and sang The Star Spangled Banner in honor of this special day.  We also sang America the Beautiful and Always Friends.

Enjoy the pictures of videos of us singing!
