Polyhedrons

We are studying geometry in Math.  We have learned about angles, triangles, polygons, and quadrangles.  All are 2 dimensional.  Our focus is now being turned on to 3 dimensional objects.  Poly means many and hedron means faces, so a polyhedron is an object with many faces. We constructed two polyhedrons: a square pyramid and a triangular prism.  Then participated in a compare and contrast activity with these two polyhedrons.

We are very proud of our polyhedrons!  They were challenging to assemble, but look at them!

  1. Not to be confused with polyhydrants, which spray water in several directions at once.
