Reader's Theater

This past week we spent time focusing on using expression while reading.  Reading with expression makes reading more meaningful for students, plus it is FUN!  The best way to practice reading with expression is with reader's theater.  Reader's theater is a play that you do not have to memorize the lines or act out, just read with expression.  We had four different groups that read four different reader's theater scripts: The Three Silly Goats Gruff, Stone Slop, Aladdin and the Magic Pickle Jar, and Clayniccio. We enjoyed performing and listening to each our reader's theater scripts!
